Welcome to
the Incorporated Village of Mastic Beach
Our miles of shoreline over looking the Great South Bay and Fire Island
offer some of the most beautiful vistas on Long Island. We are a quaint
and historic village whose legacy goes back to the American Revolution
and the birth of our great nation. William Floyd, a resident of Mastic
Beach, was a member of the First Continental Congress from 1774 to 1776
and one of four signers of the Declaration of Independence from the
State of New York.
Our community assets include the Fire Island National Seashore - William
Floyd Estate; an Historic Landmark, numerous Marinas and Beaches, a
vibrant Business District and multi denominational Houses of Worship.
Our schools encourage high Academic Standards and can boast of an Athletic
Program that has produced undefeated Division Champions in several athletic
disciplines for years running.
Indeed there have been many riches bestowed upon our community, but
its true wealth lies in the people that live within its borders. The
residents of the Village of Mastic Beach are diverse in many ways including
ethnicity, religion, income and points of view. Yet all of our residents
share the same strong desire to see our community achieve its full potential,
and to create and maintain a supportive environment where all residents
are good friends as well as good neighbors.
